Ciutadella hour
The early park hour that keeps a Barcelona day humane for paws.
Ciutadella is the green room in a stone city. Go before the heat, not instead of common sense. If the pavement on the way is too hot for your hand, turn around and give the terrace at the Gothic Quarter apartment the rest of the morning.
The park is not a beach strategy. Seasonal dog beaches are marked and they change. Read the sign on the day. Then go back to the shade.
Good to know
- Carry water for both of you.
- Street musicians and skateboards can spook a dog who was fine at home.
- Evenings are the second good window. Midday is not a window.
